An Introduction to Microsoft Teams

In July Microsoft announced that some thirteen million people now use Microsoft Teams on a daily basis, more than nineteen million people weekly, and this is growing with it now being available in 53 languages.

So, what is Microsoft Teams and what does it do? Well, Teams is part of the Office 365 Business Premium suite and the goal of Teams is to bring everything together in a shared team workspace, with the facilities available to chat, meet with web conferencing, share files, and use business apps.

Facilitating meetings are a clear core feature of Teams and you can conference with teams of 1 or 10,000, you can host audio, video, and web conferences with anyone inside or outside your organisation, or even host live events. Teams is also very secure being powered by Microsoft Office 365.

Microsoft are continuously developing new features for Teams, and in the Summer priority notifications alerts were added, as well as read receipts in chat. For more information about Microsoft Office 365, contact RML on 01223 873747.
